Dream Diary (Part 4)

Dear Diary,

I had a productive day today. Especially because I didn’t dream of that place today. And now I feel so well rested. I have honestly grown pretty bored of that place already. I mean… it’s like watching the same movie over and over again every day. Of course I was bored. Besides, that weird thing at the end… this thing whatever it is, is getting pretty weird. So, I have decided to make my diary entry a little early today. Since so many things happened today.

Since I was well rested, and it was a Sunday, I got a lot of my school work done and I even went to watch a movie with my friends. The new one with the handsome actor. I forgot his name. Maybe I should look him up. He was so cute.

By the way… I wonder what happened with that important person I was supposed to meet in the dream? Nope. Not thinking about it. What if my brain listens and I start dreaming again.

After the movie we went to a café. They were playing an interview of the actor from the movie. I remember him having a great sense of humour and a sort of charisma that really attracted you. Could it be…? Did I start having a crush on him? Hehehehe.

Shhh! Nope. Stop being stupid. But what if…

Ahh. Anyway. I am not particularly tired. Honestly? It feels like my stamina has increased a bit lately. But since no one is home and I am pretty bored anyway, maybe I should get a nap.

It was a bad idea. I was in that world again. I woke up at night this time. Which was odd considering I usually woke up in the day. I opened the door to my room to see the girls playing with dolls. “You finally woke up.”

“You must have been really tired; you slept the entire day.”

“I did?”

I went to the entrance and looked outside. “Wasn’t I supposed to meet someone?”

Anna said that she was waiting for me in the chief’s office. I followed them there and saw a lady covered in white clothes, she looked at me with equally white eyes. She wore something like a hijab? Or was it a nun’s headdress? Anyway, the only part of her body visible was her pale face. I turned to the chief. “Revered one. This is Lady Saerine. She is the royal prophet of the kingdom of Hainae.” (pronounced as ha-ee-nay)

“A prophet?”

“What is your name young one?”

“It’s Evely.”

“Evely dear, could you show me your hands?”

I did. She told me to not be too surprised and that what would happen next is just a side effect of the process of prophesizing. I gave her a nod. She closed her eyes and mumbled something in a foreign language and then her eyes started glowing. She mumbled something else in a foreign language, but her voice was completely different.

“Nyctallia calls and they must respond. Two warriors of a world beyond. A never-ending dream shall be. For only they can revive the sleeping tree,” she translated for me.

I stared at her blankly. “Nyctallia is what we call this world, my lady,” she smiled once the glow in her eyes was gone. I physically cringed at the ‘my lady’. Apparently, I was supposed to revive a sleeping tree. Alright… keeping the chronic tiredness aside, this was getting pretty interesting. Maybe I can finally be the main character of a story. Even if it was in my own dream.
